A group of proteoglycan molecules (PGMs)
isolated from the plant Convolvulus arvensis have been shown to
exhibit potent angiogenesis inhibition. PGMs have been
tested using a chick chorio-allantoic membrane (CAM) assay and at
non-toxic concentrations were able to halt new blood vessel growth and
formation (See Figures 1 and 2).
